Server down? Nope, Server gone!

Hey all,

So as you may or may not be aware, I went ahead with the idea to shut the TF2 server down.

I was meant to make an announcement but got a little too caught up in things and totally forgot to make the announcement.

Server was offically shut down on the 1st of Feb 2017.

Why? Lack of players, Plus TF2 is sort of on a nose dive with it's general direction. Just didn't see the point of running a server thats empty most of the time.

For a server thats been running for just over 5 years, I would say it was a good run and it was time to give it a rest.

In future if things go well I may consider the the idea of reviving the server or hosting it off my machine.

I appoligise for the lack of warning, Like I said, I have just been busy.

I would like to thank everyone who put in time and effort into making the server what it was, It was a great run, and we met many great people and enjoyed every moment and hope to continue the amazing friendships made on this server.

I am not one for making emotional send offs, But just thank you guys, You all made it worth the while :3

Hey guys,

I need some input.
So as some of you maybe aware the server is not doing so great (Player wise).

As much as it is fun to throw money at a server thats empty alot of the time, It is putting a burn on my possible savings.

I need some input on what you guys think I should do.

1) Keep the server, Reduce slots to 12 slots, When things pick up then increase slots. Advantage being that we keep the same IP address.

or

2) Shut server down for a while, Give it a break and maybe reboot it back up at a later time when the TF2 community picks up pace again?

As much as I have loved running this server to no cost of others (Except for Ikky who saved me once before when my funds were not the greatest, Thank you that by the way :3), I am starting to realise that my funds could be better used rather then throwing money at a server thats empty alot.

I am just wanting some input on this on what you guys think at this stage.
Server will remain as is untill I get some feed back.

Hard to believe it's been almost a decade, I still miss this place, I'll always have fond memories of it.

i look back at the server like a photo we took at a summer camp. it was fun, and it's a fun memory, but it's just a snapshot of our lives in the end. i'm sure i'll still think about the server in ten years time :)
