Hello! There was an announcement from SteamGifts about banning users of this specific extension[www.steamgifts.com] starting June 1st.

I don't want to be a nuisance, so the extension will be unpublished before that date.

As I understand it, simply unpublishing a Chrome extension doesn't automatically remove it from every user, so the plan is:

• Make an update that strips all autojoin functionality (previously it was disabled by default, but could be enabled after agreeing to the warnings). I know, the name doesn't make any sense now.
  
• Remove notification functionality as it requires the extension to make periodic requests to SteamGifts, just in case it triggers some detection.
  
• Unpublish the extension after a few days.

Truth be told, I haven't been actively developing it for many years now, only small fixes once in a while if something got changed on the website and I was notified that it doesn't work anymore. The biggest update was porting it from manifest v2 to manifest v3[developer.chrome.com], which wasn't smooth, as it turned out Firefox doesn't support all the MV3 stuff that was used. Multiple versions had to be updated and while it wasn't a ton of work, it was messy. And it stopped being fun either, since I stopped actively using the website myself and don't profit from the extension in any way (over the years I had a few propositions of integrating adverts and a lot of emails about outright buying it, all of which were successfully ignored).

Thanks for using the extension, I'm glad it was useful for some people!

Just published an update that turns off these settings:

• AutoJoin in background.
  
• AutoJoin if page is opened every X hours.

Right now it's not clear what is a criteria of getting a suspension. I advise you to stop using AutoJoin button and keeping those options off (although they're still available in settings).

Maybe using moderate settings you'll be fine, like checking only your wishlist and only every 10 hours? I don't know. And if you want to try it - you'll be at fault of your suspension.

Hello! This update brings parity between Firefox version and Chrome. Thanks to WebExtensions they mostly use same code. If you're using it and notice any problems, please leave me a message.

Hello, as you know Steam Summer Sale started yesterday. And as before you get cards for completing your Discovery queues. Now you can clear them quickly by pressing "AutoJoin Queue" button on http://store.steampowered.com pages.

Core of this script was made by xPaw (of steamdb fame) long time ago but it still works and I decided to incorporate it into this extension, I think it fits thematically

It will be removed in another update after the sale ends. And it most likely will fail when Steam is under a heavy load, so I suggest you to use it after an hour or two after each day update.

This update also fixes audio not being played.

Some adjustments were made:

• Extension will stop trying to enter giveaways if you have less than 5 points (previously it didn't care even if you had no points at all and bombarded steamgifts servers with requests).
  
• There is now a slight delay between requests (0.5s if you click on autojoin button and 3s for joining in background).

So, less requests and not all of them instantly. Hopefully it'll be enough.
