˚₊‧꒰ა꧂🕋Eid🐑Al-Adha🐫Mubarak🐄꧂໒꒱ ‧₊˚
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Eid Mubarak my brothers and sisters.
Today we have reached the Eid, festival, of Adha which is the sacrifice.
May Allah accept the work you had put into worships like prayer, fasting and dhikr in this blessed 10 days.
When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Madinah, he found that they had two days on which they used to play. He said, “Allah has given you two days better than these, the day of al-Fitr and the day of al-Adha.
Narrated by Abu Dawud, 1134
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Zad al-Ma’ad (1/54):
“The best of days before Allah is the Day of Sacrifice, which is the greatest day of Hajj as it says in Sunan Abi Dawud 1765)
Where it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The greatest of days before Allah is the Day of Sacrifice.”
Narrated by al-Bukhari, 1742

Eid al-Adha, Festival of Sacrifice is one of best days before Allah Almighty, if not the most.
On Eid days, we have a special prayer. It is performed in Masjids as follows:
  • You start the prayer with a Takbeer (Allahu Akbar)
  • And 7 other Takbeer following each with the Imam. You don't bow yet.
  • On the second rak'ah 5 other Takbeer, not bowing, then reciting the Fatihah.

    Takbeer:
in Eid al-Adha, time for takbeer is different from al-Fitr.
From the first day of Dhul-Hijjah until the sunset of the last days of tashriq. (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah)
    The dhikr forms:
      (3x Allahu Akbar)
    • Allahu akbaru kabira, Allahu akbaru kabira, Allahu akbar wa ajallu, Allahu akbar wa Lillahil-hamd

    Other actions to do:
    • Offering good wishes and congratulating. (i.e ''Eid Mubarak'')
    • Wearing your best clothing.
    • Reciting the Takbeer while going to the Masjid until the Imam comes out.
    • Going for the Eid prayer on one route, then changing your way to home while returning from it.
    • Unlike in al-Fitr, it is recommended to not eat before the prayer, if one has udhiyah, he should eat from it. If not, one does not need to stop themselves from eating before the prayer.
      It is only a recommendation.
    • Performing Ghusl before going out to pray.

˚₊‧꒰ა🐄Virtues of the Ten🕋Days of Dhul Hijjah🐑໒꒱‧₊˚
Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh.

Dhul-Hijjah is the Month of the Pilgrimage (Hajj).🕋
It is one of the most holiest times of the year, right behind the last 10 days of Ramadan.
In times like these, we increase in worship, correct our mistakes by seeking forgiveness and getting close to Allah even more than any other day.

Dhul-Hijjah is so important that Allah swears by it❗
“By the dawn; And [by] the ten nights.”
Qur’an 89:1-2
We should rekindle our friendships, our relationships with our family; pray to Allah and supplicate, beg for His forgiveness, give charity and much, much more.

Deeds we are advised to observe during Dhul-Hijjah are as follows:
  • Fasting on the first 9 days of Dhul-Hijjah🌅
  • Reciting dhikr that are Tahlil, Takbir, Tahmid. Or in this form:
''Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. La ilaha illallah Allah. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. Wa lillahil-hamd.''🗣️🕌
  • Performing Hajj and Umrah.🏔️🕋⛰️
  • Udhiyah (Sacrifice)🐫🐑🐄
  • Increase in Good deeds🕌❤️
  • Increase in Repentance🔙🧼
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”
Sunan Ibn Majah 1727
Avoid doing these if you want to offer sacrifice
Starting from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah; stop cutting your hair, nails and removing anything from your skin.
If one does so knowingly, he must only seek forgiveness from Allah, because his sacrifice will still be acceptable without any addition.
It was narrated from Umm Salamah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“When the ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah) begin, and one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, let him not remove anything from his hair or skin.”
Sunan Ibn Majah 3149
