New heat mechanics were fun until I tried them with railguns. After trolling wiki, reddit, AI, and everything I could think of, my railguns keep self destructing from heat. No they aren't daisy chained. Yes they are plugged directly into radiators. Yes, I have more radiators than needed to cool the whole network. Nothing I tried worked and after over half an hour of fiddling I couldn't get it to fire continuously without self destructing. Until this is fixed I'll leave this as "not recommended."

played for a decent bit. The game is virtually unplayable unless you only make blueprints in creative and call it a day. the game has been in early access forever cuz its a moneygrab and the devs dont care the game runs like garbage once you reach end game. The end game runs at maybe 10-25 fps during fights. Wish i could PLAY the game. and i have a 14900k and a 4070 TI S.

Even in its current state (E.A. 0.30) I can already recommend this game. It really gives you quite some freedom to build and fly ships. Whether you want to make on big bad boat or a collection of smaller craft, Cosmoteer has you covered. With a decent selection of parts and all the freedom a 2D environment can give you.

Currently the gameplay loop is a little lack luster. It's a very basic, do mission/kill ships, loot, sell, upgrade/improve. And after 2 or 3 systems it does get a bit old. But given they're fleshing everything about the ships out first, for the most part, I'm expecting the story/campaign to follow suit sooner or later.

Definetly one of my "10/10 would support again" Early Access games
