5 Easy Tips to get more GMP!
By Evanz111
Many games treat money as a resource where it's hard to get at the beginning, but as soon as you reach mid-game you have millions but you have no idea what to do with it. Thankfully, Metal Gear Solid V is not one of these games, and you'll find yourself frequently running out of GMP from doing anything, from developing weapons to expanding your mother base.

I found myself being extremely wasteful towards the beginning of the game, due to there being no hand-holding or in-depth tutorials with how to maximise your income and minimise your outgoings, so I wanted to set up a quick guide to let any new players know the things I've learned as they get into the games themselves.

Tip #1 - Eco Rounds

Do you really need that state-of-the-art rocket launcher with more attachments than your email inbox? No, you don't. If you're just hopping into a side-ops mission, then equip a loadout that is appropriate. Deployment costs can be deceptively expensive and you'll find yourself not using half the equipment you have, so the solution is to half the equiment you have and then suddenly you save 20k-30k GMP with every mission you do. Remember you can even do things like use lower-grade smoke grenades, or equip camoflauge instead of armour, and it all adds up! (Extra tip: there are multiple loadouts you can use, if you wish to keep a default one for main missions, just press 1-3 on the equipment screen)

Tip #2 - Excess Materials

It's easy to extract absolutely everything in the game and have it sent back to your unlimited storage facility, but remember that you're using barely any of it. Go to your resources tab and check what you've got. I realised I had about 30 jeeps which I could easily get rid of for a couple of hundred thousand GMP, not to mention all the machine guns and mortars and even resources like biological materials. It's always good to hold onto some for base defense and combat deployment, but you don't need as much as you extract, I guarantee it.

Tip #3 - Speaking of Combat Depolyment...

Depoloy some damn soldiers! You have a highly skilled combat unit for a reason, so always check to ensure you're sending them on the right missions. VIP Protection and Far Waters Exploitation can easily give over 100k per run, and frankly they're much rewarding than some sabotage or herb gathering, remember that you're not running a drug cartel.

Tip #4 - White = Good!

This isn't some racial propaganda, but remember that every mission in the game is replayable and sometimes you'll notice that the GMP rewards for doing so are blue, and you should avoid doing those. If you leave it a certain amount of time, the reward will return to a white colour which means you're getting the full amount for your hard work, and you should prioritise those missions so that you're getting as much as possible!

Tip #5 - Don't develop what you don't need!

It's easy to go into a game like this and think you want to unlock everything, but when money is a limited resource and you can't do that, then you need to slip out of that mentality. I found myself constantly getting upgrades for weapons I never used, and upgrading equipment when I didn't even need the said upgrades. It's fine with experimenting, but pick a certain few weapons and tools that are good for you and then focus on upgrading those and not everything else. Not only is it costy to develop the upgrades, but it'll increase the cost to deploy on missions with that upgrade equipment too!

If you guys have any tips yourselves then please feel free to comment them, and otherwise I hope this guide was helpful!

Thank you for reading!

Very late game GMP saver (tho not realy need anymore when you can deploy it):
The Fulton Ballista for D-Walker has a very low cost per fulton since you only need to provide it with ammunition instead of paying the 5k/10k per extraction of heav objects.

Playing a singe fob mission gives around 1 million GMP easily in 5-10 minutes. Just keep finding easy ones, or farm the Skulls attack event. Playing those even a few hours, and you will literally max out the GMP. I usually have more GMP than I know what to do with lol

Be careful telling people to sell off all their excess resources, thats an easy way to get to late game where every platform and item costs a ridiculous amount of those and not have any. not to mention deploying with late game tools.

I basically did all of this during the base game, but now that I am in the late game, I'm just getting everything I can, and developing only what I saw to be useful. In the late game however, if you have yet to acquire the codename "hero" it does not hurt that much to develop everything, as when you develop all items of a particular class, you get quite a lot of heroism points. Plus, it's better to hve it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
