Sonic Adventure was the very first video game I've ever played. You're still off better buying a Dreamcast and this game, because it REALLY doesn't feel the same.

The added features that DX has over Vanilla Adventure aren't that exciting. Matter of fact, there's really only one noteworthy feature, that being Mission Mode. Basically you complete and grind a bunch of sidequests in the game in order to unlock Game Gear minigames. Aside from that, that's basically it.

Other than that, it's the same old Sonic Adventure. Great gameplay, nice graphics despite not being aged well, and some of the best music pieces in video game history. Even then, I'm still amazed by this game even today.

I played this game expecting a good, happy upbeat ending where everything finally goes right with the protagonist.
