I wanna keep this short and sweet.

I am not a huge fan of deck builder roguelikes, but this one won me over. I assume you are a Vampire Survivors fan, do NOT play this as your first entry. I mean you could, but understanding the Survivors game, such as the evolutions, characters and weapons truly make the difference in how well you will adapt. The hours I have sunk thus far have been nothing but pleasant.

I am not anywhere close to being done, but I hope to see more content/DLC like the first game did (but please do add more achievements if you there is!)

GET WILD AND TOUGH! MOKORRI!

A decent game, definitley telling of its age. Appreciate the attempt SUNSOFT did with the City Hunter series here. I would wait for a sale, but it was worth it for me as a City Hunter fan. The game isn't long, just a bit tedious with the backtracking. The game is still great regardless, but wait for a sale if you can.

100%'d all achievements, needless to say that my experience with this game was far beyond satisfactory.

It feels like Vampire Survivors x Breakout as many have stated, but it really shines with the gameplay loop of having a very simple "city builder" aspect between rounds that let you construct buildings and get resources to create passive upgrades to make you stronger. The "city builder" aspects combines the Resident Evil 4 inventory management with plinko, which makes it far more interesting than just plopping things onto empty tiles aimlessly with no thought put into your placements. Additionally, having characters that have their own quirks to their playstyle makes each playthrough thought provoking, as you theorize a build meant for them.

It truly is probably one of my roguelikes of the year, up there with Megabonk. I paid full price for this game and every cent was worth it.

Keeping it short n' sweet. I spent nearly 52 hours in the first game.

Perfect? No. Great sequel? Absolutely. Roadmap to greatness? Abso-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-lutely.

Neon Abyss 1 started out rough, I was there at day 1. I saw it grow to be beloved. Neon Abyss 2 is starting rough, but I see potential to grow and bloom. It may be rough around the edges, but I've seen the devs cultivate their work. Give it time. The first game proved me so.

Note to self: Don't eat the shortbread at Gabe Newell's house.

Binding of Isaac + Vampire Survivors + Windows 98 Aesthetic = This game

Fun? Hell yes. Has problems? Sure. I find it hard sometimes to follow my cursor around while there is so much on the screen, and getting gold takes some time, especially since you'll want to upgrade things to get much stronger. I imagine these will be changed/fixed/buffed eventually.

Plenty of things to unlock, new weapons, new "cursors" (characters to play as), weapon evolutions, as well as permanent unlocks. Permanent unlocks consist of permanent stat upgrades, but there is also special "programs" you unlock for beating each dungeon's boss. These programs tend to give benefits in future playthroughs; I will not spoil these however. You will need to see!

For the price, it is worth it if you're looking for a survivors/BoI-like game. Win98 aesthetics are well done too, enjoyable for both Vaporwave enthusiasts and boomers alike. Dev stated he is still planning updates too. Give it a shot.

I haven't played much, but I have been an avid ENA supporter for awhile (I even bought Dream BBQ merch before this game came out)

The vibe thus far as as I expected. Some 90's PC aesthetic here, odd jobs, and amazing and yet confusing characters to meet. Not a dull moment in the 30 minutes I have played. May update my review later after playing more. I love supporting the ENA series.

Early Access Review
Real damn good roguelike for early access. There are bugs scattered across, but it doesn't take away from the fun. Power ups are fun, and the different ways to alter your run are actually amazing. I hate claw machines in real life, but this game knows what it's doing and it does it well. You really gotta think and plan around each run, alter your strategy.

The fact you can fill the machine with liquids (i.e. water, lava, poison) and it affects your items based on the material they're made of (i.e. metal, wood, cloth, etc) is really cool and allows for a lot of exploration with builds. Transmutation allows you to even change the material properties of certain items to different properties of your choice at a price.

I'd say pick it up when you have a chance, I can only see the game getting better from here, and I already am having a lot of fun.
