I bought DayZ a while back (at least over a year or so) and played in a few hours off and on for not very long. I had run into issues of game crashing, server disconnects, character resets, weird graphical issues, ect. I had not played it since due to lack of interest and wanting to play a more finished polished game.

I just finished playing for the past 3 hours and can say with a year of development time litterally nothing has changed. Still the same issues. I'm amazed that more items have been added to the game but the game itself hasn't had its core problems fixed. What is the point in investing time in a character only to be DC'd and try to load in again and have all those items gone. The game gives no insentive to keep playing at all, your progress if not stopped by other players due to a KOS mentality is hampered by the lack of technical polish this game needs. Yes the game is in Early Access but still I want to know that if for what ever reason a server goes down when I log back in my items wont be completely gone.
