This game is a hot pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage. A team of Fox news anchors could do a better job cobbling together this game on an abacus and a calculator with no batteries. It's a waste of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and undignified way to live your life. The idea that three people would get together and do the virtual equivalent of bolt cutting all of their teeth in half and then biting down on a block of frozen salted lemon juice boggles my mind. If you like this game, I hate you. You are a disgrace to the human race; time and life was unjustly given to you.

This game is a hot pile of garbage. I'm not sure if Capcom wanted revenge for the atom bombs or to lower the bar for all future Resident Evil games. Actually I take that back, lowering the bar for every game ever made post Resident Evil 6 release. I feel as though I've been through the video game equivalent of experiencing civil war trauma. Every game I've played since Resident Evil 6 has passed the micron tall bar of "At least I'm not playing Resident Evil 6." Every time I scroll by this game in my Steam library I am filled with disgust, not at Capcom, at myself. Like a binge eater polishing off the rancid food in his fridge, there's no gain, no silver lining. Just a deep sense of shame. It borders on being a psychological weapon. It's a ghost of steaming garbage lingering in the background of any game I play. This game had to be some demonic mass ritual to harvest the headache and disappointment from the people that play it to funnel energy towards their newer releases. I cannot think of any other rational reason for the game to be this intentionally bad.

Your life will be a net negative after playing this game, every game you play after no matter how awful will no longer sting after playing Resident Evil 6. If you never experience the lows of a bad video game again how can you expect to appreciate the highs of a good one? I can't look at the recent Resident Evil entries without thinking of the fetid corpse of this game lurking in their lineage. Maybe that's the true horror. A meta narrative of a game so bad I almost lost one of my best friends to it. I still have a draft of that text on my phone, I considered flat out ending a close friendship not because I was annoyed with him or upset. Because no longer being friends meant I didn't had to continue the co-op campaign.

The worst part?

In hindsight if I had ended that friendship to spare myself the remaining two campaigns, even knowing how much of a good friend he is to me to this day, I STILL wouldn't regret it.

This game itself is incredible, the atmosphere, the pacing, the combat, everything about it is addicting and a phenomenal homage to Half Life.

My only issue is an unaddressed security flaw with multiplayer. Right now someone with mods can hop into any public server and the host and whatever other players are on that server seem to also get that mod. There’s no warning or indicator that the server and players have been affected.

It wouldn’t be very hard to create a mod that removes something vital in the game and just corrupting people’s save/playthrough by just server hopping.

I don’t think it can go anywhere extreme like malware, but it’s still something that should be addressed before the 1.0 launch.

Game is not good. Its bad. As in it's the opposite of good.

Absolutely awesome game, fantastic story/cinematics. Gameplay was difficult at first but there's a great feeling when you fall into the "flow" of the game. One of the few roguelikes with a proper story, highly recommend.

Just way too buggy. Rushed to meet the bare minimum.

Edit: having completed the game it was most definitely rushed to meet their deadline. Anyone playing the last part of the game can tell it was very much pushed out the door. I wouldnt buy until they finish the game.
