Good, but its also way too luck based. I have played about 15hrs on my phone so don't trust my hours played and can say after getting the hang of it, what strategies are good and generally how to do well, there is still too much luck. I pretty much always get to around 7-8 wins, but the luck problem comes just after that because thats the point where scaling if you have had proper access absolutely dominates.

Of my time played, I have only beaten a single game, of which I had 3 lv3 pets... I have gotten 9 wins probably 10 times, and countless 7-8 wins, its very rare i lose at round 6 or earlier.

I think an addition to reduce luck, is add an item that when consumed gives you an extra animal to pick form for each roll this turn. So if you are looking for particular pets, you can use it to give you a better chance of finding them. It would probably cost 2 gold as 1 gold is way too cheap for something so powerful, but 3 gold and you would need like 6-9 spins to get value out of it.

game keeps crashing. Not a good look for something that was meant to be on XBOX on release. Kind of sad really.

EDIT: Also turns out they hate Oceania players. You constantly get forced into US matches just to save a few seconds on waiting time. Soulless cash-grab. They couldn't even get half the game right over a year after it was meant to release...

Final Fantasy XIII is a lot better than people give it credit for, the problem is it doesn't fit the standard Final Fantasy experience, so many people felt let down.

As someone who's first FF game was this one, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and while the characters were a bit cliche, the pacing felt a little slow at times and the story a tad confusing; the world building was great, the scenery was always incredible and the combat was very unique and while simple, it allowed for some pretty interesting strategies by mixing up paradigms on the fly.

If you haven't played a FF title yet, I would highly recommend giving it a go, if you have but aren't completely sold on other final fantasy games, this might be different enough for you to enjoy.

CLOSEST ANY NORMAL PERSON WILL EVER GET TO VISUAL-AUDIO SYNETHESIA (I do not have synethesia, but this is what i would expect it to be like)

I don't even need to play much to understand how perfect the game is. It looks very chaotic in the images and trailers, but trust me when i say it is some of the cleanest gameplay you will ever get, not only that, but the audio visual mix is perfect. The visual style is simple, but effective, and there is nothing getting in the way, not even in the menus (very slick). The game doesn't hold your hand, but still makes it easy and fun to learn. As for the gameplay, your moves feel snappy and also very in control, even with your dash, you can change directions during it, the love and craftmanship that has gone into this masterpiece is spectacular. REALLY HOPING to see more songs added later (only done 3 as of writing this, but it is just so good).

Early Access Review
Buggiest game in existence at the moment, 1 in 2 matches crashes on me, server side of things, especially near the beginning of the match is ATTROCIOUS with massive input lag and rubber banding. A few general problems with cleanness and smoothness but the bugs are the problem, it the time I have played which at the time of writing this is 30-60mins it has crashed 3 times and I have died at least once to rubberbanding. This should not have been pushed out so early, stop being greedy and trying to get in the market in a hurry, if your game is good it will work.

I have always been a BTD fan, I have been around the community for years and I wish to clear ALL the misconceptions.
Flash>Steam>Mobile
8/10

To begin, I notice that many, many negative reviews are on this game, 90% of these people have not played anymore than 1hr of the game, which frustrates me as it does not give a correct view of the game, for example if you play DOTA 2, and lose your first game and then make a bad review you have not experienced the game, as the game is far more complex than most people believe. Anyway back to BTD.

- BTD battles steam is literally a carbon copy of the mobile version with the addition of SOME hotkeys which level the playing field between mobile and PC. Although being a steam game, it has very limited settings which may annoy some more techy people such as myself, but it is bearable.
- Secondly, the 'pay-2-win' element of the game which countless negative reviews are complaining about is a very minor part of the game, as not only is the matchmaking fairly accurate but the grind to obtain these tower upgrades is very small, only taking about 10-20hrs to get EVERYTHING, comparing that to warframe where you need to put in a minimum of about 300+hrs in.
- Next, is the skill based area, this is the part which frustrates me the most, DO NOT EXPECT TO WIN IF YOU HAVE JUST STARTED, it is just like a MOBA, you are gonna lose a lot in the beginning until you learn the strategies and the physics behind the game, I was the same. Although balancing is a major issue in the game, it is not a problem as 90% of the time you will be matched with someone of equal skill level, and an equal amount of stuff unlocked.
- Fourth, is a simple one, there is no exit button. All you need to do is go to settings and change it to windowed mode, this allows you to fullscreen it with a border that has an exit button
- Fifth, this is another thing that really annoys me. Many people complain about losing to rushes, it is part of the game, you are playing on 'ASSAULT' mode for a reason, if you prefer late game, play defense, and yes defense is hard to learn but once you learn it, you can go late game every game. The concept is not that hard
- lastly, many people say that people put a lot of money in, you can transfer your data from the mobile version meaning people who have played 10,000 games can move to steam so, most likely they did not pay, and yes there are some people out there who do pay, but you most likely only be paired up with them if there is no one else available.

Now the comparison of the steam/mobile version to the flash version. The flash version has been forgotten by 90% of BTD players and for the more competitive game, it is the superior version. BTD battles flash, although worse graphics, less community, and no arenas, is a wonderful game, that boasts its amazing balance and physics which make the game a much more serious version compared to the mobile version. This is not suggesting which one is better because the mobile/steam version is targeted to the more general casual audience who just enjoys playing, thus the reason i am giving it 8/10 and not 6/10 because it is not targeted at the more competitive players. Also, NK please for the love of god change the meta!!!! Dart and farm strat cant be the only viable option forever you know! Thanks =D
