I'm still using that old junk laptop and so far SFM performing greatly. I rarely got crashes and mostly from browsing models and sounds because I have too many of them. I highly recommend you upgrade the RAM to at least 12GB.

Hey, I saw your post from 2018 about the type of laptop you use for SFM. I'm trying to animate away from my desk and was wondering if you would still recommend it? The Acer Predator Helios 3000 with 8th-gen Intel i5-8300H, 8GB RAM and GTX 1060? Have you experienced crashes when switching between selecting models/particles/lights, or when instancing a particle, or any crashes in general? Thanks!

Hi EmperorFaiz, I'm a rookie SFM maker and was looking for a model AND map maker (TF2 style) The issus is; I plan on making a series with possibly around 20-35 character models (w/outfits) and a few maps too. I understand that it wouldn't all be done in a day, but was wondering if you or anyone you know would be interested in making models/maps...

Also wanted to ask if a SFM OC series is actually profitable or not? As like I said I'm new to all this stuff..
