When I try to hit the button to choose a photo it doesn't open the photo picker. The only method I managed to get it to open is to disable the permissions of "music and audio" and "photos and videos" and accept the permissions again when I hit the photo button but I don't think I should do this every time I want to send something through this. (Android 16 QPR1, Google Pixel 9a)
