Not getting phone notifications most of the time
Goes for both my brother and I. With Steam being closed everywhere else, I only get phone notifications sometimes, and he isn't getting any.

Side question in case this is the workaround: In the notification settings, it says it won't send any if it detects you're logged in elsewhere. Is there a way to set it to always send notifications?

I'm having the same issue with both the Steam chat app and the main app not giving notifications.. I have notifications turned on in Android app settings as well as Steam app.

Having the same issue. Haven't gotten any chat notifications in years. Thought that it didn't even have push notifications until I thought how dumb that would be and checked.

Yeah, the notifications have been broken for months and barely work. No idea when and if they will ever fix the app.

Does anybody know if this has been fixed? I got nothing on iOS yet, but I heard Valve has updated the Android app a couple of times recently.

Well the way it seems to work, is if you are logged in on PC, notifications never go to your phone. If you close Steam when you are away, you will get notifications on your phone... what they need to do is add a feature where if you haven't checked the message on PC after x time passes (for me ideal would be like 30 sec), you get a phone notification, even if you are logged into Steam elsewhere.

With these Discord privacy changes we want to move to Steam for chat, especially with all the cool emoticons here, but this problem is a major one.
