To those wanting to use Metro UI or something verryyy close to it, Milennium is the recommended option, as Steams official Skin/Theme support has been dead since early 2023— you can view the source here

There is a link to Milennium, and no, using it is NOT a violation of TOS, in any regard, I highly doubt Valve would link to it if it were indeed that way, they merely give you a standard warning about third party software in general— corporate jargon in the end but its reliable and ethical to include here.

The specific theme you'd want via Milennium is "Metro by Rose" while it is not a perfect recreation, it comes pretty dang close, I dont personally use it, but I do like it as someone who used to use Metro back in the day when steam skins werw still around.

The new Steam client beta update dropped, and the interface got a big overhaul (now it's on Electron I guess). Changed almost (if not) every window to the new design (including settings).

However, with all of that, there is no button to change skin: https://i.imgur.com/LOy4lo2.png
So it can be said that skinning for Steam is officially dead.

It's been a fun ride. Thank you everyone involved in this project. I used that skin almost since the beginning.

There was a problem after the steam update 02.02.23. The interface simply disappears after entering the library. At the top where the store, library and so on. Will it be fixed or not?(

It seems change steam account was removed. You can now change account by using the log out of account from the profile dropdown, (near the inbox icon)

Also for some reason the unofficial patch still has the change steam account . Don't know why :D

@龙争虎斗加基森: it should be on the hamburger menu on the left side. If you're using the unofficial patch then it is on the steam menu on the left side

@KILLA: type the letter h in the search bar , in your library, and the hidden category will show up. If you're using the unofficial patch you can also find an option called `Hidden Games` in the hamburger menu

Hey, i've reinstalled Steam today, but didn't delete the skins folder and my "Full Screen" button in top right corner has disappeared. Any fixes?

@The Doom Slayer: library can no longer be skinned. However there is an alternative by using a third-party app. Check the unofficial patch discord channel for more info.
