Crusader Kings 2 - odd behavior
Hello Everyone,

In the early beta's I used in home streaming for Crusader Kings 2 and it worked great. Recently, I am not able to scroll or pan to the right or down using a mouse, while selecting a ruler or playing the game. I can scroll up and left just fine, and the keyboard will of course scroll all directions. I've tested from two different hosts and two different clients, both windows and linux, and see the behavior.

Does anyone else eperience this? I guess I don't know if it's a recent CK2 patch or steam in home streaming function - but if this could be fixed it would be awesome to rule from my couch on the laptop ;-)

Thanks!

Try running Crusader Kings 2 in fullscreen mode. It sounds like the window is off the edge of your monitor.
I just tested "Windowed", "Fullscreen" and "Borderless" options and none worked.

My client has a resolution of 1920x1080... I have the game set to 1600x900 on the server machine. After streaming started I hit alt-enter to force the client into windowed mode as well, and putting the mouse at the very edges of the right and bottom didnt get it scrolling.

I can repeat this problem with two different clients against two different servers, for what it's worth. I'd be really interested if someone else can reproduce it.

It's weird to me because europa univeralis iv works wonderfully.
Okay, good info, thanks!
I have this exact issue in Age of Mythology Extended Edition on the Linux (Ubuntu 13.10) client. I can scroll left and up but not right or down.
@Forty Two, if you go to the hosting computer, is the game running fullscreen? Can you see the right and bottom edge of the game window?
was this ever resolved? I'm having the same issue with CK2, I can scroll up and left but not right or down. Game is fullscreen in host (1920x1080) and laptop is 1920x1080 too, but it won't scroll right/down in fullscreen or windowless.
I am able to reproduce this now, I'm looking into it.

Thanks!
ive got this problem on a few games, has a solution been found at all
slouken, can you PLEASE re add the nvidea encoder again, i had no issues and have only been doing alot of testing using it, cant you just add it as an option for beta only?

as in inder in home streaming host settings, put nvidia encoder as a BETA option....

please please, i just got a 660 to use that feature and yal took it that day lol
This CK2 scrolling issue has been resolved for me in the latest Steam beta update (7/25). Thank you Slouken, I REALLY appreciate the fix! Keep up the good work... in home streaming rocks.
You're welcome! I'm glad you like it! :)
I have the same issue(yes, I'm aware this is an 11 year old discussion now), but I can only scroll down and right with my mouse while in windowed. Normally, I would just play fullscreen, which works fine, but I need it to be in windowed, as an aspiring streamer, because Crusader Kings II is too outdated for my recording software. So I need it to be windowed so OBS Studio can capture the window because 'Game Capture' doesn't work for CKII.
