I hit the bottle pretty hard one night, and in a drunken stupor I accidentally made a Garrys Mod server. My bad, guys. My sincere apologies. Otter did most of the actual work.

Right now it's set up as a sandbox build server like the days of yore, but I expect it to evolve and mold over time according to player feedback.

Only base Gmod content + CS:S is available currently, not counting addons.

After an eternity away from you all, Jack of Blades Hobocraft is back.

Hobocraft never really went away, people just stopped playing and I stopped updating it. But now that Direwolf20 has started a new series with a shiny new 1.10 pack, I wanted to put time aside to dust off the ol' server. So I did!

NOW, a few things have changed since last you may have played.

The FTB Launcher is no more.

They've integrated the processes into the shamless Steam-clone that is the Curse desktop client, which sports an overly simplified GUI but somehow still manages to scarf down 200MB+ RAM. BUMMER. The silver lining is that it doesn't need to be running while playing.

By default, they expect everyone to have a GOD TIER PC.

You'll have to turn down/off Mipmap filtering as well as tweak some other settings to get a playable framerate.

Java

I think Java tries to install 64bit by default now, which would be grand if it fucking worked. It could have just been me, but I got some weird shit happening when I updated Java. I ended up just completely uninstalling Java and reinstalling the lastest 64bit version manually.

That's all I can think of for now. I look forward to seeing you ingame and building a brand new civilization. Lemme know if you need any help getting things running and I'll do what I can.

(Please don't feel pressured into playing if you don't want to. You wont hurt my feelings if you have better things to do)

THAUMCRAFT!

Thaumcraft isn't in the pack yet, and probably won't be for a little while. I'm going to try my best to integrate it with the world once it comes out. Retrogen should take care of most worldgen things such as aura nodes and ores. But I'm not too sure about Thaumcraft biomes, alters, trees, and vilagers. For now I recommend finding a stop and staying hunkering down. Explore the surrounding area, but don't venture too far. We'll want to leave some room to grow once Thaumcraft launches.

Chowder is in Texas for work related things and I was lucky enough to meet up with him and hang out with him for a bit.

He misses us all and is doing pretty well in life right now.

He is currently in the works of building a gaming computer so he can rejoin us on the Minecraft server and help us make some amazing shit.

I hope all is well with everyone else in the BHZ family!

Hey guys,
I was thinking back to the Golden days of BHZ when we had a TF2 and G-Mod server, as well as our MC server.

I was kind of wanting to start up a server for one of the games again because we had a ton of fun making silly things back on the day on Youtube as well as whatever shenanigans we started on the servers.

I was thinking about it and with both Ed and I having a stable job,
Would people like to see the return or addition of a new server?

I really miss being able to do things with a lot of you and think it'd be fantastic if we could get all get together again and do things that brought us all together.

Whathca think?
