We're moving!

We've moved to a new group which is pretty much identical.
Why did we move? This one has a typo in the name and that can't be changed according to Valve and there isn't anywhere in the options to change it.

I know you might say that it's just a typo, but it doesn't really look good for the "official" group to have a typo in the name.

The Forums are back up, but things are still being played with and adjusted currently. They may be taken back down.

The Minecraft forums are down, this started aproximately 7-8 hours ago. I was just going to bed as it happened, so sorry for the late update.

Currently they are asking for any donations that anyone can give, trying to reach a goal of $600. The community has been very generous. The money is to get a new server for the forums, there is revenue from advertising but they do not see a single cent of that ntil October, and we need this new server immediately. I would link you to the forum thread where this all is, but unfortuneately, the forums are down.

We will update with donation information

UPDATE:after speaking to Area, they have enough money. and are just waiting for a broken component.

You have managed to ruin everything Notch has worked for!

Everyone tries to update. -> Minecraft server goes down!

Either way, stop going in IRC and bugging LG_Legacy!

The update didn't even have that much, why did everyone update at once? :(

Now you've gone and ruined it for everyone.

Oh well. I'll post again (maybe(probably not)) when I see what is in the update :D

Notch in Northwest USA!

Yeah, it's great! Notch is coming to Bellevue Washington! Bellevue isn't a city I've heard of, however, it's right outside of Seattle! I live in Boise, Idaho and I plan to drive the 10 hours to meet him. Anyone else interested?

(I promise that I will do my best to sneak up behind him and say SsssSSSSSssss in his ear.)

In other 'news', biomes are going to be actual biomes instead of lucky generation. It's going to be based on temperature, humidity, and danger. (!!) Note that this is JUST my take on what he said in the interview the other day. I may be wrong, as I have been tagged as a dumbass on multiple occasions.

So, if...
Temperature = 50 Minecraft Degrees
Humidity = 70%
Danger = 0
...You would get a rainforest.

And, if...
Temperature = 70 Minecraft Degrees
Humidity = 0%
Danger = 0%
...You would get a desert.

But, if...
Temperature = 65 Minecraft Degrees
Humidity = 0%
Danger = 70%
...You may just get a rocky area with TONS of lava. (Maybe more monster villages?)

Anyways, I may be wrong. I'm not Notch. (Maybe I am, I can't tell.) This is my take on what he said, so don't take my word! I just thought I would kill some time posting my guess.

Also, I failed to post on my birthday so you can all give me cookies now. :)

A Belated SMP Announcement!

As you may have already noticed, SMP has been released! I would've posted sooner, but I'm too busy mining with Iguana and LG_Legacy.

Right now SMP is pretty basic, with minimal things working. You can see your friends and their block changes, and boats + minecarts ALMOST work. Water physics, sort of. Playing SMP is sort of like living in a building frame- just I beams and scaffolding. (I'd live there if it has running water. I need an upgrade.)

Anyways, SMP! Woah!

Some notable servers:
[GER] 217.160.7.5 - Valor
[USA] 66.44.227.12 - Czahrien (This server has a #summon command to get any supplies!)

Being reported as a griefer in either of these servers WILL get you removed from this group.

Warning: If blocks disapear ofter you place them, DO NOT place more. You will end up wasting supplies! (I'd just #summon more, but that's just me.)

Also, whoever builds the most epic water slide ever gets a super special prize!
