A brand new the Old Republic game has been revealed on the Video Game Awards. And its not a remake or remastered or a sequal. Its seperated from the rest, with new story and characters, but its headed by Casey Hudson, one of the creators of Knights of the Old Republic 1 game and Mass Effect.

Fate of the Old Republic is in early development according to starwars.com.

Its in development for PC and consoles and its an rpg. Its 20 years since we got a Star Wars game like that!

August 30 this year, is the release day for the Ubisoft studio Massive Entertainment Star Wars: Outlaws.

Announced all back in december 2020, it now has released it first official trailer. Celebration last year did show a trailer behind close doors. But this one is for everyone. The tv-show will start june 4th with 2 episodes.

Its very first describtion seem to be very correct. "The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. "

Reminder of Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster

Tomorrow Dark Forces Remaster have its release. Thats 29 years after the original release. Its a shooter-classic. No lightsaber this time, but an amazing adventure none the less. The origin of the famous Dark Troopers.

STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection to Steam

A big surprise when they announced that Battlefront Classic Collection is not only coming to consoles but also comes to Steam.

But we already have those?

New things added. LAN, Split screen,new controller support, Steam achievements, Hero assault on some new maps.

STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection is released mars 14th 2024.

Empire at War gets a patch

Petroglyph wanted to say that they still are keeping an eye on their game Star Wars: Empire at War and its expansion Forces of Corruption. 17 years after its release it gets its latest patch.

Nothing revolutionary, its more under the surface, updating both game to 64-bits. Modern PC can handle old 32-bit games, so the difference is little. But. There is a big but. When it comes to mods and modders, 32-bits was a hard limit on what you could do with the game. Now with 64-bits, modders can get more creative and alot more ambitious. And this game really have alot of talented modders that have done some great things.

As with many patches, and many old games, most gets an better experience of the game, but some gets new problems instead. Petroglyph have developers that are looking into hot-fixes.

The patch-notes from Petroglyph was this:
"▪ Both games have been converted from 32-bit to 64-bit applications, which will solve many out-of-memory bugs and crashes that players were experiencing.
▪ Multiplayer out-of-sync issues have been addressed, which should improve stability.
▪ There have been numerous gameplay fixes addressing balance and incorrect unit behavior."

EaW is a RTS, real-time strategy. It offers both space and land-battles, galactic map with over 40 planets to control, you can play as the Empire, Rebellion and with the expansion the corrupt side. The game was very well recieved on its release and the game has had a healthy mod-community for many years.

Star Wars: Outlaws

This week we got to know what Ubisofts Massive Entertainment studio has been doing since that announcement way back when we heard that EA is no longer getting any exclusive rights to AAA+ Star Wars-games.

The game is named Star Wars: Outlaws and is an open world game. It first got a CGI-trailer on its Xbox-event, but the day after on Ubisoft Forward-event it got a really heavy hitting gameplay trailer.
