Update #2 - Moving Forward

Hey everyone, back with another update!

So, after trying a few new methods to run the typical trivia portion through streaming, I'm (not) pleased to announce that every one failed! For a little while, we were starting to worry about getting this back up and running.

After a bit of thought, however, we realized that the way to go wasn't just the stream. I've made my private Discord open to the public, and that's where the bulk of things will be going. It will be brought alongside the stream to help hand out things. We're working on some of the steps right now, and we'll still be running a few test events to make sure things are up and running properly before moving on to the main events. So here's a heads up on everything that's been going on. We're working on getting things back up and running, so we'll see how this goes!

Vote the next Trivia Event!

Right, so we've been looking at a few different things we want to try out, and figure out what we want to play out first. This is going to sit in the summer special, and perhaps work through all of them. But we'd like your opinion before anything is done!

We've narrowed the ideas to give away prizes to a few simple formats, challenges, and other ideas. Please leave comments on what you'd like to see, and we'll check off it!

1) SPEED RUN: The audience picks a game and setting, and an approximate time is thrown out. If I fail to beat the time, a prize or prizes are given out through trivia questions. It could also be if I succeed in beating the time.

2) LET'S PLAY QUESTIONNAIRE: A game is let's played, and at random points during the LP, questions are thrown out to win prizes. These questions can also be disguised, rewarding only the clever and careful listeners.

3) LONG TERM: A contest where during several videos, a codeword or phrase is handed out. It could be anywhere in the video, spoken or seen. Over the course of the videos, the words form something. Prizes will be given to the first person to figure it out.

4) AUDIENCE CHALLENGE: The audience is given a challenge, play through a game, hit certain similarities to my play through, and the first/closest to them all receives a prize.

5) BATTLE CHALLENGE: A game is chosen between two players, myself, and either a member of the audience, or another chosen player. Both teams are 'backed' by certain voters. A player wins the challenge. If it's an audience member who battled, he wins the prize. If it's a backer event, random player will be chosen from the winning list to answer questions and receive prizes.

6) PUPPETEER: I play through a game, but the audience votes on my actions. This is as simple as choosing basic decisions, to how I tackle the entire game. Prize winners will be chosen at random times through the experience.

End of an Era, start of the Summer Special

As some of you may know, I have left MCT. Now even though we have put all live trivia events on hold, this does not mean trivia is finished. I still have lots of prizes to give out, and plenty to move along with. The only change is that events will now be handled via the group, as well as youtube and livestream.

That being said...

The Summer Special Event is just around the corner! We're giving out lots of game prizes and hats that are just waiting for new owners. Info on how to enter will arrive in the near future, and the event, as always, will be at the end of the summer.

Good luck to everyone who plays, and get ready to end the summer on a bang!

All right, it's been a while, so I figure an update in in store.

Yes, I have been recovering nicely. Most of the flu is gone, save for one thing: my throat. Because of this, my voice is still rather rough, and coughing still hits in hard spurts. We are still on a break because of this.

I am hoping that we will be able to have an update, either next week or the week after. We'll know in time, won't we?

What happened to all the events?

Well, I'll just put it in the most basic way possible.

I've had the Flu for the past week, and just got out of the hospital. Don't worry, nothing bad past that. However, my voice is completely shot, and I need some time to recover.

Now this doesn't mean the events are cancelled, I just need to see if I'm up for it before going in. Right now, this seems like a probable no. So I'm sorry for those of you who were looking forward to it. Hopefully, we'll be back on schedule before then end of Feb.

3 years ago, I came into Day Traders with the intent to give out free hats. The admins not only put up with my shenanigans, but approved of them. After the event, I was asked to join them on a new server, Mann Co Trading, and it was suggested that I make a group to be able to post announcements on upcoming events.

Everyone, I cannot thank you all enough for joining me on this endeavor. Whether it be the contestants who played, the admins who assisted, or even the admins who gave out prizes when I couldn't. Thank you all. In honor of this, let's get things underway!

As per usual, our anniversary will be a series of events played out over a couple of days. Prizes will be won, games will be claimed, and hopefully, people will be happy. So then, I'll see you then!
