Played a few games with the new Tyranid faction - is it just me or are they fairly overpowered? Not just do they seem to gobble up everything in melee with their lowly genestealer scout units, their "no need for workers, rebuild your destroyed HQ whereever you want!" feature is really annoying and makes them very hard to destroy for good without a lot of scouring the map for their new base.

Look up in your SoulStorm folder then inside it, look up the DoWpro folder then you will see a folder called DoWpro Manuals. They are a bit outdated but they will show you everything you need to know.

@Retro - If you are running the non-Steam version, that is the 1.2 version it should work fine. I cant think of anything else not working.

Hey, me and my friend are having some problems playing online- we both installed the latest mod for soulstorm, and also the patch...but when I go to host (and hamachi working) we cannot seem to join eachother? or even find the game in the server list.... Urgent help asap please?

@-||Toxicz||- - Try reinstalling and making sure that the files from 3.59.58 go into the dowpro folder, it is the only way to make sure there are no sync errors between players. Also, make sure that the MODULE that comes with 3.59.58 is inside the Soulstorm folder.

Hey guys, I really enjoy the mod and my friend and I really want to play together.
We both installed it and updated it to the newest update (3.59.58) and made a game together. Lobby would work correctly, then we would launch the game and as soon as it starts, we freeze and get an error saying "Sync Error" (something along the lines of that.)
We don't understand as we should both have the same files, although he has a lot of custom maps. Anyone know how to fix this?

Heya, just installed the mod. It appears to work fine but I have two questions;

1) Is there a way to disbale the excess/added battle sounds? It's rather jarring and I'd rather not have them.

2) The Sisters of Battle appear to be missing entirely, they are not listed in army selection when setting up a match or in the army painter. I am updated to the latest version.

@Aralepus - Yes it does. Just DO NOT begin the game through the customized executable (dowpro.exe) as the newest server updates messed up any form of custom .exe.

Does the dowpro mod work after the new server updates?

Race unlocker works if you have retail versions. If you bought the game on steam, you must launch each of them to unlock, which of course means installing them once.

@Ar-Aamon - not in my case. I got installed SS and applied the Races unlocker and applied my retail DoW expansions keys. Worked for me.

After first launch you can deinstall the game and still play all factions in Soulstorm?

You have to launch each game to unlock.

Uhm guys I have a question. I only installed Soulstorm therefore I only can play Dark Eldar and Sisters. I do own the others 3 DoWs (in Steam) but as I said I haven’t them installed due lack of memory capacity (I use an SSD). I started Soulstorm but there was now window in which I could enter the serials of the others 3 games. In addition I wouldn't even know the keys because it seems you only can see them if you have installed a game. So is there a way to make the keys viewable without installing the games and how can enter the key once I know them.

If there is enough people interested on it, I could set up one.

Any chance of a beginner's tourney?

completely loving this mod! It has brought back the whole dawn of war experience for me. Having a blast playing it single player atmo but will probably head over to the irc channel at some point and try some multiplayer. Btw are there any plans to incorporate the tyranids. That would fully round off the game to be quite simply the best 40k rts and my favorite rts in general

@Ahne: No, he must "place" firstly the generators using the Necron Scarabs. If you check on the UI you will see an ability for them that says "Create Slag Deposit" or something like that. After he does that he can place the generator over there.

hello guys, i have the last version of pro mod installed and test out some games with a mate, however he play necrons and cant place plasm generators so he cant do ♥♥♥♥ , is that a bug?

@Sir Papercut - thats because someone else "might" be using your SoulStorm CD key. It happens to me only with the retail version.

Whenever I startup the mod's EXE file and try to play online it says 'CD Authentication failed' whenever I try to login. :(
