Visual bug with night vision in Field Intensity
Hello everyone.

I've been playing Half life field intensity recently, and i have encountered what i assume is a visual bug. Basically, when i activate night vision and switch to certain weapons such as the knife, grenades, the hive hand, the screen turns completely green thus making me effectively blind to the action. Can somebody help?

i mean like completely green to the point that i cannot see anything, not the classic night vision filter

can you still see, or is it just a completely green screen? if you're unsure, maybe try turning down your brightness settings.

Genuinely just a green screen, a flat color, I'll try what u suggested

Ok so i lowered the brightness but it didn't work, but for some reason, when i went to change the night vision style from Counter strike (the default) to Opposing forces' style the problem went away. If anyone could explain to this and propose a solution so that I can use the default i'd be grateful

Make a new game to see if it's a universal issue or just something wrong with your save

That's really strange. Actually, I had the opposite experience; Counter-Strike's night vision worked better for me because Opposing Force's had a weird texture, something that wasn't seen in previous versions.

Do you play this mod with the 25th anniversary edition of half life or have you reverted to the previous version? Because i heard a lot of mods do struggle with the newer version of the game
