Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves

How long until I get to Lucy DLC?
Is it like Genshin Impact where you literally have to be up to date to even try to get the gacha F2P or can I just play and instantly try to get her? Please note I have no intention to pay, I usually try to get the current character for free on these kind of games. How many hours do I have to sink in? Thanks.

game is too long, I just skipped till chapter 3 and all.
You can roll on the banner as soon as you unlock the banners on your account (takes an hour or so), but the gacha currency is mostly backloaded. It's probably going to take at least 50 hours of playing through the story and exploration to guarantee a limited character.

Getting to the collab story content probably takes about 100 hours without skipping the story, and maybe 20-30 if you're skipping.
If you skip everything from the start, it will take you like 20-50min. till you can roll on these banners. And if I am correct, then the story event is permanent.
Honest curiosity here, but if you don't plan to play the game, then why do you care to get literally ANY characters, let alone newest ones?

They said they have no intention to pay, not no intention to play.

You misread. I have no intention to pay money initially, but I do have the intention to play the game. If it hooks me, I might spend money. I've never played Wuwa before, that's why I'm asking to see if it's worth investing time and money.
Yep, seeing that now, my bad :P
Well, to answer the original question then, I've been able to get any characters I actually cared to get pretty consistently so far, but only recently decided to actually put any money into the game, and even then only very little, especially early on the game throws currency for pulls at you quite a bit so long as you explore a little. I think I've spent maybe $20 total
