Soundpad alternatives Linux?
Soundux doesn't seem to work well on my system and also it isn't getting updated since 2021 because of a re-write, no one knows if it will ever come out. I found PWSP(pipewire-soundpad) by arabianq as a good alternative for soundux.

Does anyone have other alternatives which automatically manage routing audio to input? Amplitude soundboard doesn't manage this and tells user to manually set up everything.

pipewire-jack + any jack GUI around; use the jack GUI if you dont wanna just use pipewire's text files...

PS: if you're going to just stick to pipewire, it already has "jack" included, but we don't have a GUI yet, so use jack's GUI in the moment

Found an easier method by just creating stream/loopbacks using pactl and routing audio from VLC into mic and my output so I can both talk/play audio and hear audio I play. Pavucontrol can bee seen as the GUI basically, there you set things in order. Took a while to make, I was not experienced in this. But now it works, I just created a setup script/systems service which will run at startup of my system so everything is in place and persistent. So VLC is basically now my soundpad.
Soundux works well enough, even better in my opinion and it's free, I recommend you use Carla if you do want specific sound routing, otherwise it just pipes it straight into your default input.
