A bad one at that, From bugs and being a stuttery mess. Lazy devs opting for unreal engine 5. These issues are not present in resident evil. And Konami will never go back and fix them in a timely manner. Its been months since release.

Should have copied proper optimization and fixing bugs from resident evil series as well.

The survival horror games still using the same generic ways like hud, animations and crap textures.
Minimalist aim crosshair, horrible font on menus, low effort animations, bullet travel from center of the screen instead by the weapon aiming.
RE2R and forward games copied the formula from The Evil Within 2 in a general way and making less polished.
Plus, RE2R just copy the formula on RE7 and put some elements from The Evil Within 2.

RE modern remakes, Alan Wake 2, Daymare 1998, Fobia – St. Dinfna Hotel, Alone in the Dark (reboot) and Silent Hill 2 remake itself is just the same way to play. The old copy/paste system like games trying to copy Assassins Creed/Far Cry games as base.
Optimization is an issue on every game that have poor sales from great companies. Capcom is not that good too because games like RE Operation Raccoon City, Mega Man Collections still needing some support and the company don`t care about this.
To be fair, I hate the RE engine and Unreal Engine because is more to be a render than a core for eletronic games.
Op please humor me with how silent hill 1 copied anything from resident evil, because that’s straight false.

Every modern third person shooter/action (not slashers, ok?) is rooted in original RE4. Many may not remember (oldies who played games before 2005 will definitely do) what a shockwave RE4 send throughout the industry upon its release. Every single TPSA game since then has RE4 dna. That's the industry's curse today. But to say OG Silent Hill game are similar or God forbid copy of RE games - is an insult. Plain and simple. It was Konami's ANSWER to RE, not copy. Back in the day the had people who refrained from straightforward copying form each, they were inspired by each other. That's huge difference. You probably never played first Silent Hill otherwise you'd how different it was from RE games then and how people who first played REs were astounded by how different - and good - was original SH. And I remember it like it was yesterday, such vivid those memories are. If you'd experience something like that you'd never write this post about og Silent Hill games.
everybody is entitled to their opinion, but look at the steam reviews for this game, overwhelmingly positive all the time. You are a minority among minorities.
